The urban community of Grand Paris Seine et Oise (GPS&O) has assigned Cerema a mission for the next four years to provide assistance with management of its assets (engineering structures, retaining walls, cavities and quarries).

The urban community of Grand Paris Seine et Oise comprises 73 municipalities with a population of 415,000 people. On 1st January 2017 it took on full responsibility for all of the area’s road networks. It manages considerable assets in the public domain, consisting of more than 1,500 km of roads, roughly sixty bridges and walkways, roughly thirty retaining walls (estimated) as well as many rocky slopes and quarries (located in 36 municipalities).

In order to set up a long-term management policy, GPS&O assigned Cerema a mission for the next four years to provide assistance with management of its assets.

Cerema will therefore contribute all of its expertise and advice for optimal management of the engineering structures, retaining walls, cavities and quarries that are GPS&O’s responsibility. It will enable GPS&O to define a policy that is suitable for its assets, by proposing and adapting the latest methods and tools developed by Cerema.

Finally, Cerema, will propose a method for multi-annual planning of maintenance and management operations.

Cerema will also assist the local authority in drawing up its public procurement contracts for project management and works, taking into account the latest innovations and developments in the various fields.
